New Information has been revealed by Northberland OPP in the death of a CFB Trenton flight attendant Marie France Comeau.

Police have ruled it as a homicide...

Frankford Youth injured

Quinte West OPP are looking for the public's help after a student was hit by a blue van in Frankford at noon today.

The youth received minor injuries when the van ran a red at South Trent Street at Mill Street.

New Nurse Practitioner clinic

Belleville is getting a brand new practitioner led clinic.

It is one of the 25 new clinics scheduled to open up over the next 3 years, and one of seven announced in Ontario today.

Kaladar Closure

An Ohio man and a Drummond North Elmsley man had post mortems done this morning after they died in a head on collision on higway seven last night near KALL-A-DAR.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, the wet weather may have been a factor.

Fifty-Five year old Peter Clark of Clyde, Ohio and thirty- three year old Michael Garland died at the scene.

A Nine year old girl was extracated from the Garland vehicle and remains in Kingston General Hospital in critical condition.

Drug Warrant Executed

Central Hastings OPP executted a search warrant at a residence in Tweed this afternoon.

Upon arrival, police discovered marijuana.

49 year old Ronald Loveless of Tweed faces charges of possesion of marijuana.

CRIME RATES DOWN IN BELLEVILLE

According to the third quarter report of Stats Canada Crime Statistics, Belleville's crime rate is slightly down.

2,184 actual "crimes" were reported this quarter, compared to the 2,186 after 2008's third quarter.

Robberies are down with 9 reported for the third quarter, while 2008 saw 13 at this time.

Break and enters are down as well with 163 reported, several less than 2008's 193.

Although there was a downturn in most crimes, the same can't be said for drug offences.

The third quarter saw a staggering 90 offences, in comparison to the much lower 55 in the same time frame of 2008.

Loyalist College Award Contract

Loyalist College has awarded Ball Construction Ltd. with the Design Build contract for the Sustainable Skills, Technology and Life Sciences Centre.

Robertson Simmons architects inc. will provide architectural design services.

The 16 million dollar building will officially break ground this December with the grand opening January 2011.

OFSAA Nicholson vs. Downview

The Nicholson Crusaders defeated Downsview Secondary School on Friday in OFSAA Girls' Basketball action.

The Crusaders showed their resiliency and won the game in double overtime 67-63.

Downsview Head Coach Devon Thompson says his team can use the loss as a learning experience.

The Crusaders now face Bishop MacDonell Catholic High School in the quarter finals which is on the go now...

The Trenton Golden Hawks are hosting the Villanova Knights

The puck drops at 7:30 at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Gardens.

The Wellington Dukes are also on the road tonight.
