Rescuers who saved a teenage hunter trapped on an ice floe in Nunavut spent the night stuck on the ice themselves.
Jean-Pierre Sharp of the joint search-and-rescue centre at 8-Wing Trenton says four rescuers who helped find the 17-year-old (Joo-Pee) (Ann-GOO-tee-luk) Monday got stranded in their boat as they tried to return to the community of Coral Harbour.

More people added to priority groups for H1N1 shots

The Hastings & Prince Edward Counties Health Unit has added more people to the local list of eligibility for free H1N1 shots.

Added to the existing priority groups were - People aged 65 and over with chronic medical conditions and children from six months to under 19 years old.

RWT- Industrial Accident

A Peterborough County man is in Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto today after the oxy-acetylene torch he was working with, exploded.

The 29 year-old man was working at Drain Brothers Aggregates near Havelock when the accident happened just before 6:00 last night.

The OPP say the victim was taken to Campbellford Hospital with burns to his face and throat but was later airlifted to Sunnybrook.

The Ministry of Labour is investigating.

Robbery Arrest - Rewrite

A 42 year-old woman has been arrested in relation to a local robbery.

The early Saturday morning mugging occured in a Front Street alley.

The victim had to go to Belleville General for medical attention due to her injuries.

No weapons were used during the attack.

The woman will appear for a bail hearing on November 12th.

City Earns an A plus in Credit Rating Actuality

You'd think that with the rocky economy this past year, high praise for a city's financial stability might be the last thing to be expected.

But that was the case at Monday's Belleville city council meeting.

For the past 18 years, Standard and Poor has been providing the city's debenture credit rating, and just recently completed its annual review.

An A+ grade was given.

Part of a cenotaph broken off by vandals in Fredericton has been removed from the site in advance of Remembrance Day ceremonies. The chunks of the granite cross were lifted onto a flatbed trailer today and carted away into storage.

City police Constable Ralph Currie calls it a particularly unfortunate crime, because there are so many victims.

A loyalist college student came close to winning first place in the Banff Mountain Film Festival.

Twenty-seven year-old Matt Westcott was runner up in the competition last week for his documentary "Extra.Ordinary".

It's about a a day in the life of snowboarders and skiers.

His documentary has also been entered in the 2009 Kendal Mountain Festival - an international fil competition that's taking place next week in Derbyshire, England.

Westcott is in the post-grad Sports Journalism program at Loyalist College.

Luongo has been out two weeks with a broken rib, injured in a game against Toronto.

The N-H-L's general managers opened two days of meetings today in Toronto with an agenda that includes a discussion about headshots. Team executives have several different ideas about what should be done to curb hits to the head. It's just one of a number of topics on the table.

It's been a little over a week since the hit by Erie's Michael Liambas on Kitchener's Ben Fannelli that sent him crashing head first into the boards. Fanelli is now out of hospital but the hit caused a stir in the OHL and the hockey world. Former NHL great Jean Beliveau told 91X Sports, hitting is a part of the game, but sometimes it can get out of hand.
